2020 Intentions
Melanie Rae Perez | DEC 29, 2019

2020 is a few days away and this is the time of year I take a moment to not only reflect but set intentions and manifestations for the coming year. This new year and decade feels like a fresh start! I am extremely happy and grateful for where I am at this point in my life and I feel like more blessing are coming my way. Setting intentions for the new year is something I take VERY seriously! The past few years I ask myself some questions to aid in the reflection and intention process. These questions have helped me create a vision that is clear yet still open to change and adapt as the year goes by.
The most difficult part of 2019 was trust and letting go. Throughout the year trusting was also my biggest lesson. I learned that I need to trust the process and timing of things. That things are going to unfold and happen they way they're supposed to happen. No amount of planning, worrying, and stressing is going to change an outcome. Also letting go was another difficult part. At the beginning of the year I was struggling with letting go and letting myself heal from all that unfolded in 2018. Now towards the end of 2019 letting go was the best thing I could of done, I now feel and live a little lighter.
There was so much beauty this past year! So much beauty, that there was days I cried tears of joy because I could not believe how much beauty my life is filled with. The light and beauty stemmed from all parts of my life. From my teaching and career to family and friends. I have been blessed with amazing people in my life as well as opportunities to learn, do, and grow in ways I could of never imagined!
Trust doesn't just happen. It is not something you decide to do and it just happens. Trust is a practice; it is something you have to remember and work on daily. Every time I was faced with a situation I had to remind myself to trust the process, trust the timing of things. This is something I am still learning and working with but I am definitely more aware that I have to let go and let the universe decide.
In 2020 I want more gratitude and feeling like I am worthy of everything that comes my way. I also want to be fearless. Fearless in a way that I trust myself without a doubt. That I believe in who am I and what I do and that I am worthy.
I also want more love! Self love, romantic love, any type of love but I just want a year full of pure and heart-centered LOVE!
This last month of 2019 I have struggled with feeling worthy of everything. While I feel an immense sense of gratitude, I often doubt that I am worth of all the beauty. I would like to leave those thoughts in 2019. I want to practice more gratitude without condition; a term I cannot take credit for but owe to my wonderful best friend, Bee. She has a big staple for me this past year and has believed, guided and loved me in ways that I hope to discover and believe I am worth of. With this practice comes loving myself unconditionally, so I can love everything else around me the same way.
FEARLESS! In every way possible! I want to take chances and trust the process.
More wholehearted living. With courage, compassion, and vulnerability. Being fearless in all the ways I can and truly trusting I am worthy.
Answering these questions in this way really narrows my vision down and helps me create a starting point for the year. I urge you to give it a try and see what you'd like to let go of and what you'd like more of. After I like to make a clear statement of what I want in the new year. I write it down on and declare it so. Then burn it before midnight on the 31st so it is released into the universe. This way I start the new year clear, fresh, and ready for all things coming my way. Trust your abilities to manifest, trust whatever comes your way!
If you give these questions a try let me know! I would love to chat further!
2020 I AM READY!
Are you?
With love and light,
Bliss Yogi
